Information has been sent home with seniors about purchasing yearbook ads. Parents may visit room 22 on Thursday at Parent Teacher Conferences to purchase. These are sold on a first come-first serve basis and space is limited.
The Van Buren County High School Junior class will be hosting a fundraiser dinner during Parent Teacher Conferences on February 1, 2024. The meal will consist of a bowl of Chili or Vegetable Soup with a Dessert and Drink for $10 per plate. Please stop by the VBHS Cafeteria between 3:30 to 7:00 PM to help support the Class of 2025. Middle School Volleyball Tryouts will be January 29 and 30, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the VBHS Auxiliary Gym. Tryouts are open to all 5th-8th grade girls. (Please note the time change!) Those wishing to tryout must meet Mrs. Sasha in Mrs. Kelly's room after school. Remember to bring appropriate clothes and shoes and water! Participants must attend both dates! Attention Senior Parents: 12th grade students must turn in one baby picture and one casual picture for the yearbook by this Friday, November 17th. Attention Senior Parents: VBHS will be hosting a workshop on Thursday, September 9th from 4-6pm in Coach Sapp's classroom to help parents create their FSA ID usernames for the upcoming Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you would like help creating your username for the FAFSA please join us for this workshop! It should only take about 25-30 minutes to create these.
Middle school girls and boys basketball and middle school cheerleaders will have their team and individual sports pictures made on Wednesday, October 11th following portrait retakes. These should begin around 9am. Please be sure your athlete has all uniform items needed to have his/her picture made. If you have any questions, please contact your student's coach or Mrs. Farmer at 946-2442.
This Friday, November 10th is the annual Alumni Game at 6:00 p.m. at VBHS. The student section theme is SENIOR CITIZEN. All students in grades 9-12 who come in dressed up will get in free!
Tonight, Friday, November 3, 2023, Van Buren County High School will be host our "Fall Fun Night" from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the VBHS Back Parking Lot for all students in grades 6 through 12. Student admission is $2.00 which includes a drink and concession item. Additional concession items will be available for purchase. Students will need to enter the front of the building to gain entry to the event. Student drivers should utilize the parking lot at the auxiliary gym, walk over, and enter the main building though the front door. We encourage all students to attend!
Van Buren County Middle and High School students will be participating in our monthly “Eagle Encounters” teacher professional development and student activity day this coming Friday, October 27, 2023. Students will be immersed in student-focused, interactive activities as an extension to classroom learning. Please encourage your students to be engaged and attentive during these activities. We feel this time is a valuable opportunity for all students to learn about various skills that are applicable to each of them. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
