Attention Senior Parents: VBHS will be hosting a workshop on Thursday, September 9th from 4-6pm in Coach Sapp's classroom to help parents create their FSA ID usernames for the upcoming Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you would like help creating your username for the FAFSA please join us for this workshop! It should only take about 25-30 minutes to create these.
Middle school girls and boys basketball and middle school cheerleaders will have their team and individual sports pictures made on Wednesday, October 11th following portrait retakes. These should begin around 9am. Please be sure your athlete has all uniform items needed to have his/her picture made. If you have any questions, please contact your student's coach or Mrs. Farmer at 946-2442.
This Friday, November 10th is the annual Alumni Game at 6:00 p.m. at VBHS. The student section theme is SENIOR CITIZEN. All students in grades 9-12 who come in dressed up will get in free!
Tonight, Friday, November 3, 2023, Van Buren County High School will be host our "Fall Fun Night" from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the VBHS Back Parking Lot for all students in grades 6 through 12. Student admission is $2.00 which includes a drink and concession item. Additional concession items will be available for purchase. Students will need to enter the front of the building to gain entry to the event. Student drivers should utilize the parking lot at the auxiliary gym, walk over, and enter the main building though the front door. We encourage all students to attend!
Van Buren County Middle and High School students will be participating in our monthly “Eagle Encounters” teacher professional development and student activity day this coming Friday, October 27, 2023. Students will be immersed in student-focused, interactive activities as an extension to classroom learning. Please encourage your students to be engaged and attentive during these activities. We feel this time is a valuable opportunity for all students to learn about various skills that are applicable to each of them. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
The retake & makeup picture day is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 11th. If your student was absent, they may have a makeup picture taken at no cost. If your student is having a retake made, there is a $5 charge. However, there will be a $5 credit on the order form when you receive your proof. Good Afternoon! High School Softball tryouts will be on Wednesday, October 4th, from 3:30-5 PM at the softball field. The tryouts are open to any girls in 8th-12th grades. Those wishing to tryout must be present and have appropriate gear. Any questions please see Ms. Jill Bouldin.
Middle and High School Yearbook picture proofs and fall sports picture proofs were sent home with students yesterday. This includes high school volleyball, middle school softball, cross country, and golf. Orders are due back on Wednesday, October 4th to Mrs. Farmer or the front office. We will announce a makeup/retake day soon for yearbook pictures.

Please make sure you have all necessary supplies such as brushes, paint, trash bags, and painters tape. Painters tape is imperative due to each parking spot having to have a 4-inch border from the designated lines. Items you may consider are a canopy tent and folding chairs. The only paint that can be used to ensure the painted design stays is water based exterior latex paint. The rain date for this event is Saturday, August 5, 2023.
