Van Buren County School Adminstrators, Supervisors, and Teachers along with others from Sequatchie and Bledsoe Counties recently participated in the Dare to Lead training to help build skills to build more courageous and daring leaders.

Future VB Families & Students: New student registration will be taking place on Wednesday, August 2nd from 8-9AM for the 2023-24 school year. If your student(s) is already enrolled in a Van Buren Co. School they do not have to come on registration day.

Two weeks from today VB students will be returning to the classroom. This weekend, Friday, July 28th-Sunday, 30th is Tax Free Weekend for Clothes, School Supplies, and Computers. Remember to check out the Spencer Elementary School and Van Buren County High School websites for School Supply Lists.
VB Families & Students: On Friday, July 28th there will be middle school girls softball tryouts at the softball field from 5-6:30 PM. This will be open to any girl in 5th to 8th grade this school year. Anyone interested in trying out should be present, dressed for softball and with their glove.
VB Families, Students, and Staff:
One week from today on August 1st the Van Buren County School System will be hosting several back to school events. The following events will be taking place from 4pm-6pm: Open House (All Schools), School Supply Giveaway (at VBHS Auxillary Gym), Title I Information Booth/Meeting (SES), and Clothing Giveaway (Family Resource Center). Also at 5 pm there will be a 6th Grade Orientation and then at 5:30 pm a Senior Parent Meeting, both in the VBHS Auditorium.

VBC Families & Students: As we countdown to school beginning, in two weeks will be the annual Back to School Supply Giveaway and Open House.
VBC Families and Students: The Back to School Countdown has begun, 3 Weeks until the First Full Day of School for Students.
VBC Families: Early Bird Preschool is still taking applications for enrollment for the 2023–2024 school year. If you have a child who will reach their 4th birthday on or before August 15, 2023, please call Denise Whittenberg at (931) 946-2442 ext. 23 to get a registration packet for your child.
If there are still seats available after all eligible 4-year-old students have been enrolled, we can enroll students who have turned 3 years old on or before August 15, 2023. If you have a 3-year-old who meets these criteria, you may also pick up a registration packet. Your student will be added to a waiting list, and you will be contacted on or after September 15, 2023, if a seat is available.
