MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS: Good morning, It has come to our attention that there has been some misunderstanding regarding a “list” being circulated online. This list references multiple school systems from Georgia that have shared names with schools and systems in Tennessee. This list itself is not a “hit list”, but instead is a listing of “targeted” Title I schools which is a federal classification for funding. Some middle school students this morning have been discussing this “list” and have brought it to our attention out of concern. Because of this concern, a student that was overheard discussing a “fight with guns” was mentioned. This was found to only be a conversation about a video game. We have worked quickly this morning with school administration, local law enforcement, and homeland security to investigate and give reassurance that there is no credible threat to our schools and students. Good Afternoon! The Middle School Softball game scheduled for Thursday, September 12th has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11th, at 4 PM. This will be 8th Grade Night and the final home game of the season. We encourage everyone to come out and support your Middle School Softball team. Thank you!

There will be a meeting on Thur, August 29 at 3:00 in Coach Sullivan's room for any high school boy interested in playing baseball this season. The meeting is to meet the new coach & discuss important information about the season, tryouts, etc. It's important to attend if you're thinking about trying out this year.
