Today, Van Buren County Schools is celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day! 💙

Kindness doesn’t have to be big to make a big impact. A genuine compliment, a small act of patience, or sharing a tiny victory can brighten someone’s entire day.

We challenge our students, staff, families, and community to try one (or all!) of these 7 simple ways to help make kindness the norm. Let’s work together to create schools where compassion, encouragement, and respect are part of who we are every single day.

💛 Join us in spreading kindness — one small act at a time.

Ms. Autumn’s class had the best time stretching, breathing, and finding their zen today during yoga with Mrs. Paula! 🧘‍♀️✨ A big thank you to Kelly and Sasha for organizing such a fun and relaxing experience for our class. The students loved learning new poses and practicing mindfulness together. We even had a special helper — Wavarly was excited to jump in and help lead! She did a fantastic job and made the session extra special. So proud of our class for trying something new, focusing, and having fun while staying active! 💛

Ms. Autumn’s class celebrated Valentine’s Day in the most delicious way — with their favorite fast food feast! ❤️🍟🌮 Students enjoyed special treats from Subway, Taco Bell, and McDonald’s — talk about a dream lunch lineup! From fresh sandwiches and crunchy tacos to those famous fries, there were lots of smiles (and full bellies) all around. Between good food, sweet treats, and time spent together, it was a Valentine’s celebration to remember! 💕 We love making memories like these with our students!

✨ Wayback Wednesday: VBHS Prom 2019 ✨

Taking it back to Prom 2019… and what a night it was. 💙

From the perfectly coordinated dresses and sharp tuxes to the endless photos, laughter, and unforgettable dance floor moments — VBHS truly showed up and showed out. The music was loud, the lights were bright, and for a few magical hours, nothing else mattered except being together and making memories.

It’s hard to believe how quickly time flies. The Class of 2019 walked those halls not so long ago, and now many of them are out chasing dreams, building futures, and soaring into their next chapters. But no matter where life has taken them, they’ll always share that special night — the inside jokes, the group selfies, the slow dances, and the “one more song!” moments.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. 🦅

CTE Spotlight Series: Day 3 – Student Impact

👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 CTE Spotlight: Student Success

CTE isn’t just about classes—it’s about confidence, skills, teamwork, and opportunity. Through CTE teams, students collaborate, compete, and apply what they learn in real-world settings while building leadership and communication skills.

Our students gain hands-on experience, problem-solving abilities, and career knowledge that can lead directly to employment, technical school, or college.

CTE helps students discover what they’re passionate about—and how to turn that passion into a future career. 💪

In our third-grade Social Emotional Learning classes, we’ve been focusing on what it means to have a positive outlook on life—how we can support one another and choose behaviors that help everyone grow. 💛 Through meaningful class discussions and reflections, students shared ideas about developing a positive mindset.

We talked about how life can come with challenges for all of us, but how important it is to fill our ride with positive energy along the way. 🚍✨

Our hallway display highlights how students connected with this lesson. Each student designed a license plate representing how they choose to show positive energy at school and at home. The creativity and thought behind each one truly shines!

“Every journey and ride begins with a positive vision to go somewhere and do something, and if you create a positive vision, then you also have the power to make it happen. Your positive thoughts and beliefs are the fuel that powers your Energy Bus on your journey through life.”
— Jon Gordon, 2012

We are so proud of our students and the positive energy they bring to our school community! 🌟💙
