Monday, May 6, 2019 will be a Teacher Professional Development Day for Van Buren County Schools.
There will be no school for students on that day.
We want to honor our staff who are retiring this year and would like to wish Mrs. Diane Hodges a Happy Retirement! Mrs. Diane currently serves as the district Instructional Technology Coach and EIS Supervisor.

Due to a fire alarm malfunction, Van Buren County Schools will be dismissing at 2:00 p.m. today, Monday, April 29th, 2019. Buses will be released first. PARENTS PLEASE DO NOT arrive to pick up your children until after 2:15 p.m. You will pick them up at the Aux Gym at that time.

Thursday, May 2—Screen-Free Activity!!! Families bring your students out to Family Reading Night at Spencer Elementary from 5:30-7:30 p.m. As always, there will be lots of reading, fun, and prizes!
Tuesday, April 30-Screen-Free Activities! 1) Families are invited to come out for an evening of Playground Play at SES from 5:30-7:30 p.m. OR 2)VBHS Softball will be playing Monterey at home! It’s Senior Night! Game starts at 5 p.m. Come out and support our Eaglettes!
Monday, April 29-Screen-Free Activities: 1) Families are invited to join Healthier Van Buren at Spencer City Park from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for an evening of fun! OR 2) VBHS Baseball will be playing Red Boiling Springs at home! It’s Senior Night! Game starts at 6 p.m.
Go Screen-Free this week!School-age children are at risk from excessive screen time! Children with 2 or more hours of daily screen time are more likely to have increased psychological difficulties, hyperactivity, emotional and conduct problems, as well as difficulties with peers!
Go Screen-Free this week! April 29-May 5! The more time preschool children and babies spend wit screens, the less time they spend interacting with their parents! Even when parents co-view, they spend less time talking to their children than when engaged in other activities!
