TRAFFIC ON SPARTA STREET -
Beginning today (9/19) traffic cones will be placed alongside Sparta Street in front of the schools to prevent traffic from blocking the entrances and exits in the mornings and evenings.
It is also important that traffic does not sit in the roadway or on the side of the roadway during morning student drop-off and evening pick-up. The county ambulance service, Generations, and personal homes must have clear access to the road at all times.
SES gates will open at 2:40 pm for parent pick up. Pickup for both schools begins at 2:55 p.m. Morning dropoff for both schools begins at 7:30 a.m.

Good Evening Van Buren County Families: Tomorrow, September 7th will be Parent Teacher Conferences from 3:30-7:00 PM. Please remember that conferences will start promptly at 3:30 PM. During this time there will be a lot of exciting events taking place:
-Kelly Lewis will be hosting Strengthening Parent and School Partnerships to Reduce Cyberbullying @ 3:30, 4:30, & 5:30 in the VBHS Auditorium. Parents who attend a session will be entered into a drawing for a $75 gift card!
-Both SES and VBHS will have their Book Fairs open from 3:30-7:00 PM in their libraries.
-The Junior Class will be hosting a Taco Salad dinner in the VBHS Cafeteria. Plates will be $10 and will include a drink and dessert.
-There will be a table set up at the Elementary School to help parents with Rooms from 4-6 PM
-VBHS yearbooks will be available to order.
-Title I meeting at 3:30 PM at SES, if you have any questions contact Jamie Simmons or Amanda Binkley at (931)946-2171
-Esser 3.0 Meeting at SES at 3:30 PM.
-Family Resource Center will be open from 8:30 am-7pm.

Good Afternoon! This is a reminder to let you know that LEAPS Afterschool Program began on Tuesday, September 5th. The LEAPS Afterschool program runs from 3:00-5:00 PM. Please remember that students need to be picked up promptly at 5:00 PM. Also, as a friendly reminder there will be No LEAPS Afterschool Program on Septermber 7th due to Parent Teacher Conferences. Anyone wishing to check out a student early from school must present Identification to the front office staff to verify their identity. This also helps to ensure that the person has been authorized by the parents/guardians to check out the student. Thank you for your support and cooperation in maintaing the safety of all students.
