Van Buren County’s Mady Young was recently named to the District 5A All-Tournament Team.
The senior setter was one of just seven players in the district to receive the honor. Young helped lead the Eagles to a first-round appearance in the postseason tournament.
“The strength of a team is each player and not just one,” head coach Angela Simmons said. “Mady always tries to motivate the team and have fun in the process. I am proud of her and all she has brought to the team this year. She hustles on the floor and has a positive attitude when helping the younger players.”
