
Attention all juniors and seniors, tomorrow is graduation day! All juniors and seniors need to be at school by 7:45am for practice, on Friday May 20th. Everyone needs to bring the shoes you intend to wear for graduation night and be in the gym ready to start at 7:45. Thank you and have a great evening.

Any senior attending the trip to Pigeon Forge tomorrow Wednesday May 18 needs to be at school by 6am. All attendants must abide by school dress code and wear your gray class of 2022 t-shirt. Remember to bring money for lunch, souvenirs and or shopping. Anyone not at school by 6am will not be permitted to attend. Hope everyone has a restful night and see you bright and early in the morning.

There will be Cross County try-outs this Tuesday, May 17, 2022, for any student who will be enrolled in grades 8-12 next school year. Try-outs will be at the VBHS Baseball field from 3:15 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. Please wear proper attire.

Middle school girls’ basketball tryouts will be Friday, May 13 from 3-4:30 in the high school gym. Girls must be dressed in proper basketball attire.

Van Buren County High School will be hosting the 44th Annual Alumni Banquet tomorrow, Saturday, May 7, 2022. The meal will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the Business Meeting and Auction following at 5:00 p.m. All VBHS Alumni are invited and encouraged to attend.


Van Buren County High School has loved the attention and support of all of the amazing educators that we have emphasized this week. We are so lucky to have these fantastic people on staff supporting the students at VBHS! No one fully comprehends how much these fine individuals do on a daily basis as they strive for success for all that enter their classrooms. One this final day of Teacher Appreciation Week, we extend a big and heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the teachers at VBHS!

Today, Sunday, May 1, 2022, is Principal Appreciation Day. We are very fortunate at Van Buren County High School to have an exceptional Principal serving the faculty, staff, and students each day like Mrs. Katina Simmons. She goes above and beyond the duties of her position, and we are truly thankful for everything she does. Know that you are appreciated today and everyday for all of your hard work and dedication.

Tuesday, May 3rd will be Yearbook Day for grades 6-12 at VBHS. Books are still available for $60.


Van Buren County Middle School will be hosting a Spring Fling Dance for enrolled students in Grades 6-8 this coming Saturday night, April 30, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the VBHS Cafeteria. Attached you can find more information concerning this upcoming event. A copy of the attendance guidelines were sent home with students at the end of last week. Ticket cost is $5 and will go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, during lunch.



Parents and Students: This is a reminder that end-of-year testing for students at VBHS is in full swing. As testing takes place, it is imperative that students arrive to school ON TIME each day in an effort to make this process as seamless as possible. Just a reminder, the school day for Middle School students in grades 6-8 begins at 7:50 a.m. The start time for High School students in grades 9-12 is 8:00 a.m. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
